Working in the print industry as a graphic designer has given me a deep, practical understanding of how design translates from screen to physical output. As the Head Graphic Designer at BRANDiT, I’ve gained hands-on experience in preparing artwork for print, understanding different materials, finishes, and production techniques, and ensuring that every design maintains its quality and impact in its final form.
Through this role, I’ve developed strong technical knowledge in areas such as colour management (CMYK vs RGB), print-ready file setup, large-format design, and working closely with printers to achieve the best possible results. I’ve also learned how to design with real-world constraints in mind—balancing creativity with functionality, cost-efficiency, and production feasibility.
Working with high-profile clients like Sun City and Sibanye-Stillwater has strengthened my ability to deliver professional, high-quality work under pressure while maintaining brand consistency across various print applications. These experiences have sharpened both my creative and strategic thinking, allowing me to produce designs that are not only visually compelling but also purpose-driven and effective in a real-world context.
